My Story
I am an advocate and community builder who has called Treaty 6 Saskatoon home since I was a baby, when my family left Moldova and came to Canada as refugees. I have spent most of my life in Ward 8 and have devoted much of my time to supporting the businesses, schools and neighbourhoods in the ward. My passion for fostering community connections has always been strong. From a young age, I started volunteering, which gave me valuable insights into what Saskatoon has to offer. Over time, I became actively involved in community associations, schools and newcomer engagement, deepening my understanding of civic processes and local needs. Launching my own company centered on intercultural communication and relationship building further strengthened my ties and adoration for Saskatoon.
If you ask my friends and family they would say that I am reliable, approachable, considerate and caring. I make an effort to find time to connect and give everyone the opportunity to share their story. As the oldest daughter in my family and the mother of two teens, I am no stranger to debating, budgeting, organizing, and managing conflict. I’m someone who takes action. I don't just come up with ideas, I use my expertise and connect with resources and people in the community. I see myself as a doer, driven by curiosity and motivated by engagement. I listen and observe to better understand and serve the needs of those around me. In the end, you can count on me to get the job done and keep you informed.
